FYI..... you guys should consider spending a day roaming the Barrett Jackson auction on your way out in Phoenix, although the "big" nite is 16,17 the cars will be on display all week prior so you can "drool/ kick tires" all over them......have a great time!

As of this morning at total of 78 have signed up for our SWBB rally...72 'Birds, 6 SOBs.

When I was escorting Oversized Loads cross country, we avoided Phoenix like it had the plague and we used this route to go around Phoenix quite often, it was undergoing improvements the last time I used it about six years ago and I know that there are some forum members that currently use it. So unless you want to deal with the Phoenix traffic, here is a map and route instructions for a Phoenix, Arizona Bypass

I would even use this route if I was deadheading, I also have used the FamCamp at Gila Bend Air Force Station at times when passing through Gila Bend, the Air Force Auxiliary field for Luke AFB is located approximately 2.5 miles south of the town of Gila Bend, it is a popular spot for retired military personnel during the winter months, but almost empty during the summer months. http://www.militarycampgrounds.us/in...d=37&Itemid=38
