Peter, I agree. I don't carry a spare either. Fact is the PO of the Bella Mia had a spare and a crane device to lower it and I just took that stuff off of the roof. I figure at 60 plus I have no business messin with wheels and tires on heavy equipment. The whole thing would be a night mare. Getting the wheel off the roof. Lifting the bus, cracking the lug nuts. No way. I am going to run good tires and watch the inflation and speed and take my chances. Just joined FMCA and took out the coach net insurance. Money well spend even if I never use it.
I know there are fellows comfortable doing the complete opposite and would change a tire in a heart beat. Lets hope for smooth roads and easy sailing.

John,
Amen brother. Road service is my new best friend. Have used them many times over the years and am quite content to wait and watch (you remember how well I watch lol).

John would you like to sell the crane ????? ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm interested in it, Let me know. The last time I was on the side of the road, I got bushwacked for a tire & rim to the tune of $1,200.00 bucks. Yea, it was a French Bread Tire to, so I was lucky enough to get a Goodyear to replace it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() !!!!!!!!!!!![]() : eek:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Kurt Horvath 95 PT 42 10AC 931 433 0669 |

A fun read Bruce, since no one was hurt. Glad it all turned out OK. Don't know why you would turn down a free egg burrito though.
Just last week I priced out 8 Michelin 315s. A bit over $6,200; ouch! But will be putting them on next week. Still debating with myself whether or not to use of Equal.

I priced the Michelin XZE's in Tucson and the best price I could find was $4266 complete with all taxes. We are in Mexico and the Peso has fallen recently. I actually found them here for $2600 USD complete. Would have been about $4000 before the devaluation. I have read a lot about Equal and I would not put that product in my tires. It lumps up and then everything is out of balance.
