Just wanted to say hello. I just bought my first Wanderlodge and am thrilled to death. Will be using it just for a few short trips in the next couple of years and then we are planning on going full-time in the winter months and then return to home base in the summer. I have had 5 previous motorhomes and have finally worked my way up to a coach. What a difference! I am familiar with RVs but there are so many more things to know about owning a Wanderlodge coach I will be referring to this site a lot I imagine.

So, what model did you get? Where are you located. (Set up a signature file in the user control panel -- see the Quick Links tab to "edit signature.")
Welcome to the group and be sure to ask any questions you have. I've owned my 'bird for about 18 months -- and I still learn something new about it quite frequently. These are amazing vehicles. |

It is a '93 WLWB. I bought it of a super nice couple near St. Louis. He was going through some health problems and wanted to "get things in order" so to speak. I am glad to report that he is doing so much better and I hope to see him buy another one soon and maybe we can do some traveling together. I live in the Fort Wayne, IN area. I am retired from the Indiana State Police and currently have my own private investigation business. I plan on doing some local traveling on weekends and some short vacation trips for the next couple of years. Then when I retired completely I intend on going to the southwest in the winter and return to home base in the summer. My oldest daughter and son-in-law purchased 20 acres with a 4 acre pond and I will be building a 48'X72' building with a 30'X40' living addition on their ground. Their idea! I've got some great kids! Anyway, I have some relatives that live in Albuquerque, Denver, Seal Beach, and Pasadena. That will put me in closer proximity to them in the winter months. And of course it will mean I can ride my Harley 365 days a year. Oh happy days are here again!!!!!

Jim, Welcome to the Bluebird family, and it really is a family. Hope you enjoy your coach as much my wife and I enjoy ours. We live about 1/2 way between St. Louis and Indy
and both graduated from high school in Ft Wayne and still have family in the area. We are there several times a year.Your winter plans after retirement sound great. Again, welcome.

I enjoy this group very much. I read all the stuff I can that gets posted. Some of it has been very helpful already. Thanks to all of you for being very warm and welcoming. To all of you, you are always welcome at my home if you are passing through. It isn't built yet, but I will get started as soon as the snow melts, on my new digs. Building a 48x72 building with a 30x30 addition for living space on my daughter and son-in-laws property. 20 acres with a 4 acre pond. I will stay there in the summer and then winter in warmer climates. The place is located on US 30 west of Fort Wayne, IN, just outside a little town called Larwill. The driveway is a half mile long, so don't expect to see it from the road. It is secluded to say the least. I will have full hook-up for my coach and of course anyone stopping buy will be welcome to use them. I hope to meet some of you soon at either my place or one of the many get togethers you all talk about. This year may be a little busy for me to make any of those get togethers, but I should be fairly caught up by next year, to make a few.
Again thank you all. Jim Walters
