Default Levelers Won't

Andy:

I am sorry that I can't help you with either of your questions. i have not had the leveling panel out nor have I looked for the sensor.

Try to lower the jacks manually. To do that, turn the system on and wait for it to make it's initial check and when the lights stop rotating press the manual button. There should be a led light at the top right of the manual button. Then press the buttons at 9 o'clock and 12 o'clock simultaneously and see if the jacks start to lower. Make sure the ignition switch is off when you are doing this as I believe there is a lock out to keep you from leveling when the switch is on.

If they will lower it will give you an indication of pump operation and of 12 volt power to the pumps. If they don't extend maybe it is due to the lack of a 12 volt source.

I will see if I can get the wiring diagram and follow the 12 volt path to the jacks.

Andy,

You might try calling or emailing the manufacturer; I did a few weeks ago and they were very friendly and willing to help. The tech told me that the only purpose for dumping the air is to lower the Coach so that after the jacks raise the Coach you don't have to step high to get into the Coach; and that not dumping the air will not harm anything or prevent the jacks from working; so whatever is the problem with your jacks it likely has nothing to do with the air dump. There is a time delay when pressing the auto button before the light comes on. I have the Company number in my office; if you can not find it by Google, let me know and I will get it for you.

Default Jacks now working on 2004 M380

Rob:

Good News ! ! ! With as few miles on the coach as there is I could not imagine they had been used enough to be inoperable. Don't forget to use some dry silicone on the pistons.

Andy, I am happy for you, I know how obsessive I can get when something doesn't work the way it is suppose to. I purchased my M380 from the original owner and just received an email from him this morning that I will share with you and the other M380 owners to make you feel good. The original owner and his wife have lots of toys, when I purchased the M380 he had 2 Prevosts and currenty has a new Newell completely tricked out a beautiful coach to say the least. This morning he told me that he and his wife have said many, many times they wish they had never sold the M380, it never gave them any trouble and was easy to drive.

Best,

Dennis

I think it must have a slight glitch on control panel, sometimes you press the auto button & the light next to it does not come on, then if you switch unit off & on then let it run thorugh its start up cycle then it may work next time
but at least after acouple of attempts it does now work

My system work well, but there is a delay from the time the computer does its run through until the the button light comes on when you press the button.
