Most FCs and SPs will eventually need a replacement cable...we could check this out during one of Randy's 'walk around' technical sessions.
Dick G. has already installed the replacement cable.
I have a replacement cable "not installed Yet", and a Bendix throttle air cylinder, This will be a good show and tell Session at RATS. This applies to Bendix Cruise and /or Bendix Air Throttle controls, used no many FC's, PT's and SP's.

Hi Woody; the replacement throttle cable from Midwest control Products

http://www.midwestcontrol.com/buy.php?item=5197

is working great! You may need a different length than 1700 mm for your SP/Cummins.

I've driven about 5K miles since the installation...no issues of any kind.

Use your original cable assembly for a pattern for the copper tube/collar to be crimped to the new cable outer housing and mate the new cable to the CC-5 air cylinder via the 22mm flare nut on the CC-5. Core is stainless steel flat wire swaged over galvanized steel stranded cable, burnished to a smooth, close tolerance finish. M6 x 1 male threaded ends on each end of the core.

Don't forget to order a new ESTX-6mm Turnbuckle, metric ball joint

http://www.midwestcontrol.com/buy.php?item=91

for connecting the cable to the injection pump lever.

Woody, Bring all those junk parts. Perhaps with some duck tape and super glue we can get it fixed. What ever cable works.

Hahaaha, Woody used the curtain hooks at last Myrtle Beach rally for Go power.
I had all the parts in the Bird, But Air Condition repair was more important than throttle at the time.

The dryer parts I have won't work on your dryer. We may have to start looking. Want me to see about a used one from 4 States?
