Also, on the Powertech's there's a little thumbwheel dohicky at the fuel injector manifold (has a bunch of fuel lines coming out) at the top of the engine. This thumbwheel should be open a quarter turn or so. If it's not you may be pushing too much fuel to the injectors, or it relieves pressure from the fuel pump, or something. (I'm a little short on coffer too Maybe someone could clean this up a little for me). At any rate, Powertech advised me to keep it open a tad.

That should essentially be the fuel regulator, allowing excess fuel to be pumped back to the tank.

Default Installing auto start

We have been trying to get an auto-start (Xantrex) installed on the generator Onan DKD 8KW.

No one including the local Onan experts, the Pakistani Onans and Xantrexians (AKA tech support) or the Onan on-line guys are able to shed any light on the problem (and even if htey could we wouldn't be able to understand what they are saying. Love off-shore support.

In any case, I am not an expert on electrical systems but, Greg, my daughter's S.O. is and he thinks we are getting close. If anyone knows what needs to be wired to what to get this thing to work properly it would be helpful.

Greg has pretty well figured out what is controlled through each wire so we do not necessarily need a physical description of the wire but a functional description and what it goes to on the autostart panel.

Also, if you think you might be able to help and give me an e-mail address I can have Greg explain exactly where we are with this and what specific problems we are having.
