Sometimes you hear weather forecasters talk about a hurricane giving the landfall area "The One Two Punch", well when I looked at this Radar Image Loop http://www.goes.noaa.gov/GSSLOOPS/ecwv.html at the end of the loop the hurricane center area looks just like a boxing glove, I found this very strange indeed.

Deb and I are contractors for The Feds and are in New Orleans awaiting orders to head toward Texas. Gustav did a number here on the southern parishes of Louisiana and it looks like we'll be busy in Texas for some months to come.
When we got into New Orleans the city had just been re-opened and there weren't very many folks at the French Quarter RV Resort:  We wound up commuting in and out of southern Louisiana until the waters from Ike made it unwise to travel for a few days:
