Default multimeter recommendation to buy

When looking for a multimeter for testing what should i look for in one?

Any recommendations for good multimeter to buy that will give me the features i need for working on my bus?

I see so many versions of them and a wide range in price. two prongs, loop around clamp wire versions, one toutch versions.
I would like to be able to test 30 and 50 amp plug ins to.

Thanks

Get a Kline CL2000 (true RMS) and call it a day.
It does everything you will need for the coach - and more
Roughly $100-120 bukks

I have used one for several years, very satisfied. DC amp clamp on is great for Bird use. The only complaint that I have is that it defaults to AC and must be set every time to DC.

I gonna bite! and say, the ability use its functions pretty quick.

It seems from any of these tools, myself its getting use to them, I picked up a 3908otc a year or two ago and it does measure amps as wanted.

I still have a very old otc dvom and use sometimes, simply because ease of use? or really just familiar and don't need some new whoop d doos that I am clearly not use to with the new one.

This 3908 may be real similar to the kline mentioned, good luck on your Christmas list

as an option, It would be pretty cool to have a nice assortment of pin connections say for ecm and or connector testing on a short list with a new meter.

Just in case ya had one more line to fill

A bit pricey but Fluke 87v is great for various things.
