Well, I bit the bullet and bought Michelins thru FMCA. I could have bought Hankooks for $1K less, but my size is a new tire only out for 3 months, so I was leary of that. FYI, Michelin changed the price for labor and balancing to a higher price than the dealer quoted. I called them on it and they corrected it.

Just looked at the air soft pellets. They make bio degradable ones and you dont want those!
Looks like the competition ones weigh 0.20 grams each. in a 315/80 the chart mentioned above says 12oz/tire. This would equal out to 1700/tire or 13,600 for 8 tires.
I found 10,000 on Amazon for $25 so for $50 you could have plenty to do the entire coach.
Obviously, I would weigh them , not count them, but this should give you an idea of how many to purchase.

Just buy BB's for a plan old BB gun. Right?

In addition inspecting tires over 5 years old might be OK if there was something you could see that would be meaningful. Obviously cracks or damage but a tire could look perfect have age related issues from what I understand. I think 5 max for steers and 7 for all others. That's my opinion decide for yourself . I NEVER want to experience a blow out. At least not one I could have prevented because I traded off tires to late

My tires are 14's and it's getting new steers this winter. But they are Samson's that Camping world put on when they sold the coach to the PO. While they have been "fine" I want them off the steers.

Can I ask why you chose to use the FMCA discount rather than the Dupree discount? When I bought my Michelin steers a couple months ago i seem to remember the Dupree pricing was lower than FMCA to the tune of a couple hundred dollars for two.

None of the tire dealers here would work with Dupree. If I purchased thru them and had them shipped, the freight charges would make them much more than going thru FMCA.

Correction. I just went back and checked my notes. It was a different program that the local dealers wouldn't work with. The last time I tried to reach Dupree Products, I never heard back from them.

That's unusual I think. When I set up my account, Rick was on vacation in S.C., but he contacted me and then contacted his wife to get me all the information I needed and I had it done in a couple of hours, got my tires the same day. Maybe you should try again.

I realize that from your posts. I was thinking of you maybe buying more tires in the future and maybe save you some money.
