Default Insurance

There are lots of insurance posts on here covering many years. Our Blue Sky Insurance expires in October and as most of you know they are no longer insuring RVs So I am asking for a quick response to this question if you don't mind instead of wading through all those other posts.

If you didn't have Blue Sky or did have Blue Sky, other than Progressive, what insurance company did you go to and why? We have to do something in the next 3 weeks.

Thanks for any help.

Try Nationwide. They also own Allied, but Allied's rates are higher.

Amica

They keep the coverage and never sub it out to any other insurance company like most of the others do.

My current $ 60,000.00 coverage is $ 607.00 per year less a rebate check at the end of the year, with or without having a claim. The rebate has ranged from 8 to 22 dollars.

My deductible is $ 1,000.00.

Never had a claim on my bus, but lost a roof on my home from hail. I had a check within 7 days.

Sorry to sound like a salesman, but I have been an insurance adjuster for over 30 years. Although I have never worked for Amica, I have worked claims for 44 different companies and my home, car, pickup, 40 ft. motorhome and 22 ft. motorhome are all insured with Amica.

A few years ago I asked my Nationwide agent If he could insure my 34' Diesel motorhome and he told me he had his 40' Diesel Pusher insured with Progressive.

After being with Blue Sky for about 6 years my BMC is now insured with Progressive. Don't like the name and don't know about the service but it was quick and easy. I consider insurance a requirement for registration. I know they will give me about 10G if my $50G Bluebird gets totaled. But you gotta have insurance.

They too are getting out of the RV insurance business maybe in the next year or so according to Thum in Grand Rapids.

Unfortunately Safeco doesn’t write for full-timers. Got a quote from Foremost today, coach not too bad but the auto was more than double Blue Sky! Thanks for the tips.
The search continues,
Jacque

Mike, ... does Amica do Agreed Value on your coach? I've always heard good things about them.
