Default Bluebird Number 1

Spent the afternoon at Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Mi. Displayed was the very first Blue Bird Bus. Not a Motor home but a school bus from 1927.
Had a Georgia plate on it.

Back about 20 years ago BB had a building with about 20 buses inside, including the one you saw today.
The other buses were different models, not sure why they were in with number 1.
BB built 2 buses for Coke, they were prototype buses to be used for delivering coke products, both of those buses were in a junk yard in Trenton Fl.

Placard shows a Ford TT Truck Chassis powered by the typical Ford 4 banger. Whopping 20HP. Gave credit to Albert L. Luce Sr. from Fort Vally Georgia. Would be fun to see some early photos of these buss's.
