Default 2 alternators on a PT with a 6V92

I have a 1985 PT40 with one alternator. Does anyone have a 80's PT with a 6V92 with 2 alternators or at least one mounted in the rear of the engine instead of in the rear of the engine under the bedroom floor?

Try checking with Detroit I saw a gear driven alternator for sale on E-bay
that bolted onto engine directly. Just maybe option don't know if it would fit with other alternator.

The first alternator is for a 60 series. Second one is for a 24 volt system and would require some additional engineering to make it work.

a good friend that worked for penski at DD told me the gear driven alternators were bad news,he said they would break the cam in the engines.
the gear drive is cam driven.

How would you regulate voltage with two? I could see doing it if you had two battery banks- but seems like the voltage regulators in each one would be fighting each other if they fed the same battery bank. It would be very easy to adapt the A/C compressor mount area for a 2nd alternator, but my Leece Neville 160A unit seems adequate 'cept when Kelly decides to Microwave some Quesadilla's AND run the vacuum at the same time. I trashed my alternator's belts this past summer in Nebraska when that happened.

How about when you are driving and turn on the generator to provide power to the cruiseairs? The chargers are now on as well as the alternator? Do they both work?

Maybe they operate like power grid feed from all power companies.
It all interconnects supplying power to wiring and because its all regulated to about 14VDC it works
