Default Wife not sure

I am wanting a BMC. Wife keeps looking at newer glue and stick models with slideouts. The one I have spotted (BMC) is some distance away. We live in Southwest Missouri. Does anyone have a BMC or a widebody Bird close that we can look at so that she is sure she can be satisfied with one without a slideout. Thanks, Bob

FWIW all birds from 1988 were wide bodies, except for the FCs and SPs.
so all 40 foot coachs built after 1988.

Bob I'm sure someone will chime in here soon. Your on the right track looking for a BB product to show your wife. There is no substitute for quality. BBs are overbuilt from the door hinges to the leveling jacks.

Wait till the BB rally in Branson at the KOA Oct 19-23rd.
Go there and see various birds.

Thanks, Branson is close enough. The only problem might be keeping the Bird I want in the cage until then. So, if anyone close has one to look at before then, give me a private message.

About 250 miles one way. I would be up for it. Would like to find something closer. Daughter in law getting close on her first baby. Spouse probably would like to be within a couple hours. Doghouse notr the most comfortable, if you get my drift.

Default Stick of BB

Bob,

You know you are "preaching to the choir" here. My wife wanted a stick built too and I could not bring myself to spend my hard earned money on such a lack of quality so I did without for years, too many years until I could afford the BB. While I did miss out on years of motorhoming it was worth it. I would rather have a 25 year old BB than a 1 year old stick built.

I dry camp with a bunch of stick built owners and they all drool over the quality of the bird even though equipment wise we are all in similar coaches. They are always telling me when you own a bird you never have to get another motorhome.

Don't let flat screen t.v.s and granite counter tops or any such items fool you to the basic quality underneith.

Dennis

Thanks everybody for the help. As soon as the daughter in law has the little one, I will be free to travel to look at one. Currently the two that I am interested in are around 2000 miles and 1500 miles away. I feel we can really narrow it down by looking at BBs before I attempt to serious negotiate the price. Anybody coming down I44 with their BB I would meet up with them and get their opinions.
