Wish I'd known all this several months ago. I just bought my "84 PT 40 several months ago and am finding that it needs quite a bit of "work", much of which I know very little about.

I bought it knowing that Bluebirds were the best.

I'm an electronics tech, so the many electrical and/or electronics problems don't faze me, but I find I can do very little without schematics or wiring diagrams without a lot of actual wire "following" which is very time consuming.

Its the air pressure and water systems that really give me trouble,though (very few drawings on those systems, either).

I bought my Bird for the ""long haul" so I'm willing to work and learn. I'm very greatful that I found this forum, lots of great info here, and hope that by next year I can be where you are.

Even though I'm having more problems than I ever anticipated, I'm still happy!!
