Angry Sad News

My son Spc. Brian M. Connelly 26, of Union Beach, NJ was killed on 2/26/09 in Adhamiya, Iraq from wounds sufferd when his vehichle was struck by an explosive device. He was assigned to the 40th Engineer Batalion, Task Force 1-6 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1St Armored Division, Baumholder, Germany.

We loved nothing more then to travel with our sons in our bus. He will be dearly missed and our lives will never be the same. Why I may not be the most active memeber of this forum, I truly care for each and every one on this forum and hope anyone with family memebers serving our county a speedy and safe return home.

I cannot imagine the pain and emptyness of any parent who survives their children.

Be assured that all who read your post are thankful to Brian for giving the ultimate sacrifice to his country for our freedom and the freedom of others.

We are so very sorry for your loss but we are also very grateful that you raised your son to be a patriotic American. Our nation cannot survive without young men such as he.

You obviously raised a good boy Mark; one who is willing to give the ultimate sacrifice for us. Thanks to him, and thank you.
