Just finished talking to Robbie Rosenberg who reminded me that June 21st is fathers day and some may not want to attend a rally on that weekend so I think we should change the dates slightly. Shane Fedeli suggested we start the rally on Thursday instead of Friday and run thru Monday and that is fine with me.
That being the case we will change the dates to Thursday 11 June thru Monday June 15, ,2009 so all of those fathers, grandfathers, great grandfathers, and great great grandfathers can still attend . If there are no objections we can invite a few others that some of you already know and I will post this on the forums to see if there is any other interest. After watching closely to the posts on the forums I have come to the conclusion there is a lack of factory drawings for a lot of people. That coupled with the lack of training on how to use them really hampers some in troubleshooting problems with their coaches. So if everyone brings all of the contents of their blueboxes or the drawings each of you have, we will look them all over and make sure that when you are here each of you will have all of the drawings you need. I have a lot of drawings as well as a lot of information and data that no one else has and am willing to share it all. So during the first part of the rally we will make a list of drawings each of you need, and then take drawings from each of you to make up a complete list and take them and get them reproduced that day. Then if there is enough interest I will go over the drawings and show everyone that does not already know how to read the drawings and trace circuits out and identify where the various terminals are. We can show those interested how to pull their dashes open and work on them also<smile>. And all without breaking anything! Secondly everyone that needs new battery cables we can have that done during the rally. I have all of the tools etc to use and each of you can buy your own cable ends, welding cable, and shrink tubing (unless we want a bulk buy for everything then I will get that and we can share the costs). There are several of us that have already done it and can show the others how to do it properly. We can also go over the technical characteristics of batteries, how to test them and when to equalize the batteries. Thirdly we can do the headlight modifications with the Bosch relays if anyone wants that done. If you dont have the bosch relays and sockets tell me and I can order enough for everyone. We can do almost anything the group wants to do, including of course the technical discussions we normally have. You guys pick the subjects and I will get everything ready to cover it. Am going to try and get free passes for Vernon Downs so that Saturday night we can all go to the standard bred race track to the Gold Room overlooking the track and have their buffet, watch the races and bet if anyone wants. I took the GMC motorhome club there when we hosted that rally and they loved it. The women can schedule their own activities and help us poor men who already know they are superior to us. Last time they did a fantastic job of taking nothing and making it into a fantastic buffet between the coaches. Even the rain did not deter us. I can arrange a fantastic chinese dinner for us at our camp site if there is any interest also. My new garage is done . Already I can see it is to small at 30" by 48". Woe be to me. Send me a response as soon as you can if you are coming to the rally. Tom

Tom,
As a plank owner at your wonderfull Rallys, we'll plan on being there. Hopefully I won't have an major repairs like last time and be able to enjoy the area a little more this time. Although, since you have every tool in the book, maybe I should take advantage and fix some things! hmmmm.

Tom there are a couple of things I forgot to add. First of all we have already accomplished many of the things I noted, Tom Sorrentino replaced his slip rings and brushes on his Kohler generator and work was done on his dash, and others did similar work on their coaches while there. This is a true working rally along with a lot of personal fun for everyone.
This is the third annual Vernon rally. There will be an upcoming early in the fall 2nd annual Croton on the hudson rally hosted by Tom Sorrentino and an upcoming 2nd annual Hershey,PA rally hosted by Shane and Kelly Fedeli. We hope there will be many more. I also am going to have my computers at the rally so everyone can see all of the technical information that I have. Although I cant make copies of the Master Parts Catalog I have nor print from it I can let people use it and see how powerful a database it is. I am also going to go over a list of suppliers we can use to get parts. I am not the least concerned over getting parts for the 1980's FC and PT coaches nor troubleshooting and repairing them. But banding together in these rallys makes it easier for everyone. If anyone needs a new hotwater heater installed (get it from Steven Birtles and have it delivered here) or refrigerator this may be the time to do it.

Count me in for the '09 Wanderlodge Warnerama. Thursday to Monday sounds great. Maybe we can pull off a wheel and study the proper care and feeding of slack adjusters and S-cams.
