Default levelers not working on 2004 m380

hi all , just bought a 2004 m380 &
I cannot get the levellers to work, pressed the 'air dump' button but the air dump light on leveller control panel does not light up, obviously I have parking brake on & have tried with engine running & off & just ignition on
when you press the retract button you can here the jacks tring to retract.
what else could stop the air dump light not coming on or am I missing something else ??? is it just a case of pressing the auto or manual button then the pair you want to use ?
cheers andy

Default Levelers Not working

Andy:

The process for using the levelers is as follows:

1. Dump the bags.
2. Press the bottom of the rocker switch on the leveling pad. The unit will go through a self test and then some of the lights will come on depending on what part of the coach is low.
3. Press and hold the "Auto" button momentarily.
4. Depending on which end of the coach is lowest either the front or rear jacks will depoy followed by the jacks on the other end of the coach.
5. When the coach is level and the jack system is through the Blue Bird emblem will stop blink and light solidly.

If you have not returned the rocker switch to the center "Off" position you can momentarily push and hold the "Retract" button and the jacks will retract. If you have turned the panel off, youu can retract the jacks by pushing the rocker switch in on the top and hold it until the "Up" light comes on.

To retract the jacks I inflate the air bags prior to retracting the jacks.

Hope this helps

Sorry for this being a long reply, but here is how to operate the levelers.

Andy, your M380 is equipped with a “Big Foot” Hydraulic Leveling System from Quadra Manufacturing. Operating instructions for “Automatic Control Panel with Manual Option:
1. Turn Power Switch On
Note: Immediately upon power initialization the system will enter a 30-second self-diagnostic mode, indicated by the Directional LEDS and the Level Indicator flashing. Upon completion of this mode, one or two Directional LEDS will be lit with one flashing. A lit LED indicates the end and/or side of the vehicle that is low. If the vehicle is in a level position, only the Level Light will flash.

2. Select Auto or Manual Mode by pressing the corresponding touch pad.
Operate Air Dump by engaging Air Dump switch located on the dash panel.
If Auto Mode was selected, proceed to “Automatic Mode” Step 3.
If Manual Mode was selected, turn to “Extending Levelers Individually”
3. Automatic Mode – WAIT WHILE WATCHING THE PANEL.
The system will lower both legs at the lowest end of the vehicle. When the first leg reaches the ground it will cause the system to sense motion and stop. Next, each leg will be lowered individually confirming ground contact by causing the system to sense motion. The system will then repeat the process for the other end of the vehicle.
4. WAIT WHILE WATCHING THE PANEL.
The system will repeat Step 3 for the other end of the vehicle then level the vehicle in all other directions. Completion of this process is indicated by illumination of the Level Light (the green BB light in the center of the wheel diagram).

RETRACTING LEVELERS WHILE IN AUTOMATIC MODE
Determine if the power to the Control Panel was left on or turned off, and proceed as follows:

If the control panel power was turned on: Press the Retract Pad and release. All legs will automatically retract and cause the All-Up LED to light.
If the control panel power was turned off: Turn power on and wait for the system to go through a 30-second self-diagnostic mode, indicated by the Directional LEDS and the Level Indicator flashing. Press the Retract Pad and hold in until all levelers are completely retracted as indicated by the All-Up LED being lit.

Andy,

There is a lot to learn on the M380! There are no controls on the Big Foot control pad for the air. I suggest you turn the power off on this control, start the coach engineer and air-up the suspension. Once this have been done, release the air by selecting the switch on the left side dash panel and turn the engine off.

Then, turn the Big Foot control on and follow the procedures previously proveded. The yellow light should now be off and the leveling process should begin. I think all it needs is to be recyled.

Good luck and enjoy your bus. They are terrific machines.

Andy:

The yellow light does not light once you dump the air. BlueBird did not include the air system when installing the Big Foot levelers. If you are getting a yellow light on the air system turn the Big Foot controller off (the center position on the rocker switch) and that should reset the controller.

When you start the sequence to automatically level the coach, after the initial check is complete you will need to hold the auto button down for a couple of seconds. It takes a couple of seconds for it to go into leveling mode.

Default Levelers

Andy:

After the levelers are turned on and goes through it's initial check are you depressing the AUTO button long enough for the light to come on? If not go through the steps again and hold the AUTO button down and a light will come on next to the button. The leveling process should start then.

There is no reason the levels should not work.

You can find something like a M380 Owners Manual on this URL

http://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.co...lodge_manuals/

Sorry I didn't think of that earlier.

still no luck with the levellers,
have been there web site here
http://www.bigfootleveler.com/
& found this :

The system lights are on but nothing works when pressed
Check to make sure the 14 pin connecter is pushed into the back of the sensor
Check to make sure the all other wire harness are pushed tightly into the sensor
Check to make sure the wire harness is pushed into the back of the panel
Check your battery’s to see if they have a good charge
System power cable un hooked at battery
Ignition key is on, turn key off

anybody any idea where the 'sensor' is on my coach, have tried to remove leveller control panel but it seemed well fastned in & didn't want to bust it
