My fuel drain on the sight bowl will not drain. I need to remove the bowl and see what it up. Does anyone know the series number of the unit and/or the part number of the gasket that seals the bowl onto the bottom of the unit. It has four bolts. I cannot find anything in the archives and I do not have any info in my files. Thanks.

Leroy,
Our 88 FC has the Racor Model 900, If you have the same there are three seal gaskets, all the same as the top " T " handle gasket.

Hi Leroy,
Sounds like the ULSD gave your tanks a good cleaning and clogged up the bowl. Try removing and clean it with WD-40 or mineral spirits. Don't use anything harsh- it will discolor the bowl. The gasket between the bowl and housing is the same as the T-handle gasket. You should also spin off the centrifuge assembly and clean the innards with some WD-40. Good Luck! Your unit probably has a 900FG or 1000FH model Racor. |

Thanks Bill and Shane.
I have some black crud in the site bowl. Not a lot but enough that I don't like it. I cannot see a Model number on the housing but according to my owners manual it uses a 2020SM filter. Hopefully I can get the parts at NAPA. It's hard to find anything in the GA woods except deer and bobcats.

The Racor 2020SM is a 2 micron filter used in the Racor model 1000.
I have a Racor model 1000FG in my coach and it would make sense that you'd have a similar unit since this is a Blue Bird installed filter (even though I have a different engine). My coach has the 2020TM (10 micron) filter element in it. Makes me wonder if one of us has the wrong element? |

Oops... meant to add, I bought my filters online. eBay currently has listings at 11.50 each or a case of 12 for $105. I don't live in the GA woods ... but sometimes living in a major metro area is worse than living in the woods for heavy equipment kinds of things.

Thank ya'll. If the weather is good tomorrow I will have a look at it. Pete, the only thing my owners manual says is 2020SM, see Racor manual and I do not have one.
Tom, I will get down to say hello in the near future. Bill, thanks for the part numbers.
