This is my first post as we are new owners of a 93 WLWB with the 15 Kilowat Generator. In trying to understand the autostart function of the generator after replacing all 12 batteries there is a switch some where that tells it to start if there is low AC/DC or No A/C don't start or just D/C. So far we have not found this switch to set it to monitor the right thing. As it currently sits if we have the autostart switch on within about 5 minutes or less the generator comes on with only a few lights on with no shore power. Any suggestions for where this switch would be would be appreciated.

We found the switch that needs to be turned either to A/C or D/C for the autostart and we were able to sit in the coach for a time with the refer on and several lights and even a little space heater with the generator not coming on and the invertor not dropping below 12 volts.

To the best of my knowledge BB did not have an GenStart for the '93. Some of us have installed an aftermarket system and mine works well. That said, it's important to understand that Birds are very power hungry and in most cases I can only sit with the inverter on and modest draw for 12 to 15 hours before the generator kicks on. I have a complete new set of AGM batteries.
For reference I installed by GenStart switch in the upper dash just to the right of the SAFELINE lights. It may help if you have the name of the previous owner.

Hi,
I too have been looking for the 2nd switch that is supposed to select between low and no AC power. There is a Gen. Autostart switch on the dash, but I can't find the second switch that is mentioned in the manual. Of course, the manual doesn't say where it should be either. HELP!

Mine's in the driver's side front bay, up above the air hose rack. Haven't seen an LXi, so I don't know for sure.

Mine is also in the front bay on my 2000 LXI. Our problem is that even with the switch in the correct position the generator would immediately come on. We took the coach to BB and they determined that it was a problem with the circuit board. Kenny took out the board and shipped it to somebody in MD about two months ago and it hasn't come back yet. Kenny has probably been pretty tied up with his new responsibilities but I will call him again next week. I will apprise you of the outcome if I ever get the board back.

Found it! It was in the same compartment as yours. (You would think they could mention that in the manual......) It is set in the low AC position. I threw the breaker and the generator fired right up. Now to see what happens if the AC drops below 105VAC.... Thank you for your quick replies! We lost power today after some severe thunderstorms and I started to worry about what would happen to our dog if this happened while we were out and about..... Now I know to keep the gen autostart button on while we are camping....
