Default Weight

Hello again, just in the process of trying to register my new 1990 40' WB in Texas and they want the unloaded weight to base my registration on. I have the Gross Vehicle Weight but cannot find the unloaded weight. Anyone have any ideas where on can find that in a printed form for the DMV.

Thanks

I had to get an official scale weight ticket to do mine in SD. I was unable to locate a tag with the UVW.

Thanks, I'll try to locate a tag somewhere in the bus, if not I guess I'll just have to punt, or plead on the mercy of the Texas DMV

Walter, Try looking up at the ceiling right against the front windshield, the tag may be there

Thanks found the tag but it only gave me the gross on each axle, I think the empty weight will be somewhat elusive.

Thanks again

California DMV required a weight tag as well with my coach...if you can't find the tag on the coach just head over to a scale, nice to know anyway. Once you get all that squared away I would get her weighed again when loaded ready for a trip...need to know that too.

I doubt you will find one. With the variation of options they could only provide a range. Any big truck stop will have a scale. They will ding you for about $10, but it's an interesting window into trucker culture if you have to go inside to pay.
