Mini/Micro Rally in Pinellas Park

Do three busses comprise a mini rally or a micro rally? That's a question I just can't come to grips with. Oh, this retirement stuff is so taxing.

Gary & Terry Cranfield joined us for the winter and Charlie & Martha Vaughn stopped by for a week on their way to RiverBend. Good fun, good socializing, and even some projects done. Okay, so there are always projects being done with Blue Birds, but the cooperative effort is far more fun.

Well at this point it might be considered a micro rally. However, posts like this can be contagious.

We started (you were missed) the Clearwater Rally (as CoachWorx Rally) with 4 guys meeting for lunch. That year there were 12, next year 20 or so, this year about 30 and we were not pushing it. Flywheelers the same... Hope to see you there! they catch on fast... particularly at this latitude at this time of year!

We had to be in Key West during the Clearwater Rally. Family thing. We were disappointed to miss it. Then the family missed their flights due to a blizzard up north, so we just unlaxed and enjoyed it. Thought of y'all. I gave up my space for our newbees Gary & Terry Cranfield, so it worked out for the best anyway.

You and I and Ryan were having lunch when we hatched the idea of getting together on a weekend somewhere. I can't remember who the fourth one was. Whoda thunk it?

The Skyway Gun Club does not have space for a rally, but we were able to fit in two extras. We affectionately call this place The Skyway Luxury RV Resort, nestled snugly next to Shotgun Ridge, part of the Pinellas Range. As you know the Pinellas Range is so old that the weather has worn it down to be almost imperceptible, well to be honest, actually totally imperceptible. (Had my marketing hat on for a moment, not KC's meds. ...Same thing I suppose.)

It must have been Jim Nichols. He is largely responsible for growing it to what has now become, a fine annual event.
