Testing coil on Sporlan
 
Is there a procedure to test the coil on the Sporlan without disassembling the valve ?

Problem, install new coil, if fixed old one bad, that's how I do it.

You could use a VOM and look for resistance. What that might be I don’t know. That tell you if the coil is bad or good.

Remove the top screw, lift off coil, hold a screwdriver near by, should be a magnetic field.
move coil on/off stem should hear click, take apart and clean.

Don’t leave the coil off the stem for very long it can let the Smoke out.

Turns out that there’s a app for testing the coil. Probably a few other ways you can use this app. Check it out it’s pretty nifty.
