Series 60 Maintainence

Is it a good idea to have series 60 tuned or adjusted at 50 to 60 thousand miles?

I had my S60 "tuned" by DD after about 50k miles. It didn't cost me anything. (Long boring story.) I didn't notice ANY difference in performance or fuel economy after the "tuning". As I recall the procedure: the majority of the work was resetting the valve clearances. On my coach it was particularly difficult to get at the valves because there is so little clearance between the valve cover and the ceiling of the motor compartment. I would have been disappointed if I had to pay for the "tuning".
