LX refrigerant charge amount

I cannot read any charge information on the refrigerant label on the rear of the coach.
Is it the same 8.5 lb. as the LXI?

Thanks
Andy

Just did a new compressor and 134a change on mine. 8lbs 4oz fill after a 30 minute vacuum pull. Dash Air is blowing cold in 90 degree weather. Guess the difference is shorter Freon lines??

Hey Rick-
do you know your cost on the install of the ac compressor ?

Thanks -
MJD

I have a good friend who owns some shops and salvage yards around here. He charges me much less than shop rates so my cost is not normal. I can tell you it took about 1.5 hours to do this job. 15 minutes was waiting to see if the vacuum pull held. I would guess you could expect 2 hours labor and 9 pounds of Freon.

Thank You-

Not on this coach but we replaced the ones on our 90 SP with penguin II. Before I bought again I do some serious looking. the penguin was very loud.

Hi Rick.
When you changed your compressor did you change the filter/dryer, expansion valve, and flush the system?
I changed mine last fall and it failed! The truck A/C shop I bought it from wouldn’t warranty the compressor because I didn’t change those items?
Would you know the exact location and/or part number for them on our LX’s.
Thanks,
Dana

The only fail I had was the clutch. Didn't have to open the system since the lines had valves. Sorry I can't help with part #s you need
