1983 PT40(?)

Hi All,

Found this Wanderlodge on a web lot while looking for a hearse on ebay:

Any one know it? Looks clean and shiny, low miles, new paint, etc.

I can't help but ask Mike; a hearst? New toad maybe?

Hearse

??? Hearse, you are funny.

Rick 07-30-2012 10:31 PM

Tires are shinny also.

Hey, don't give me too much grief. Look at the white hearse on the same site. I've always wanted one, since I was a kid. Think of it as a gentleman's minivan. Besides, no better prices for low mileage well-cared-for cadillacs than in the hearse department. Rear wheel drive, room for family and friends - Wow, it WOULD make a good toad...... didn't even think of that...

Now if I could just get Mary to see how practical it is.....

FWIW, its been on eBay for quite a while now.

Its definitely got some really nice paint - which is definitely a plus. But, man did they bugger up the water system (freshwater tank has been moved to underneath following whatever they did to the bedroom) and that mod to the bedroom is really ugly - not well-executed at all.

I also think that thing used to have a lot of solar panels plus there are a series of outlets by the fuel fill and you can see the added electrical panels in the storage bays (and near the exterior outlets). As such, I really wonder what all they might've done to the electrical systems as a result. No telling what you are getting there - everything may be fine or maybe a big pain in the rear.

Last, that interior layout is one of the odder ones I've seen with the extra captains chair and the cabinet by the sofa (both of which look factory but who knows). I don't think that layout would work for me. But, that's a personal choice.

If you ask me, I think folks can do better than that for the price they are asking ($38K+).

I think I would just go ahead and buy the hearse without telling Mary......I'll bet then she could think of a good use for it. :D:D

You're my kind of guy. I also always wanted a herse to drive before having to ride in one as a stiff  :p.
BTW, I'll be bringing my GENTLEMAN's personal car to RATS -You're gonna like it :) I think :confused:;):o:(:eek:

Tell Mary the hearse would have the platform for a built-in Joey bed. 'Course, it might turn into a Mikey Bed.
