1980 Chevy 4WD Baseplate

Has anyone installed a baseplate on a K-series Pickup? I can't seem to locate anything for a 4WD frame, only the C-series. I have a blue ox Aventa II rated for 10,000# and would like to make the pickup a towed.

Shane does that truck have the two tow hooks under the front bumper? On my Tahoe and the other later trucks it's pretty easy to just replace the tow hooks with the two individual connection points which are required. I have them on the Tahoe and you can have them if they would work. Also have a heavier tow bar. Some other stuff. I am not planning to tow the Tahoe so if there are any parts that would work let me know.

Would a 1980 4x4 Blazer or Suburban be the same?

Shane, I built mine for both my '98 extended cab pickup and my '86 Blazer, using the above mentioned tow hooks. I'll post a couple of pics tomorrow. Everything is froze up here right now!!

My dad had a tow bar on his C series 2wd PU. It was basicaly angle iron that fit along the bottom of the frame rail. I'm going to use it on my 78 K5 Blazer. I'll need to notch it to go around the spring hangers.
