300 amp alternator replacement

I just replaced my 300 amp alternator before the Pine Mountain rally with 200 amp , J-mount alternator that I had in my shop. The swap worked great using the original belt adjuster and new brackets. I am offering replacement kits that include brackets, bolts, plugs, belt, pulley and new alternator but using the existing cable to the batteries. Complete J-mount kits are: 160 amp @ $825.00---200 amp @ $900.00---270 amp @$975.00 Pad mount kits are $25.00 more. All alternators are new, internal regulators and instructions are with each kit. Installation is available, contact me @ 478-918-3698 or e-mail @jdunaway1947@gmail.com

there are other size alternators available, now is a good time to order and get it by christmas, you will have plenty of time to install before hitting the road

So I just get a call from the shop, yesterday it was bad chassis batteries and today the alternator. I'm looking at this and thinking, I am going to get a price one a new one and ask them if they really tested the batts. They are a Provost dealer (among other things) and I thought they have a top notch service shop.

That DN 50 is very pricey if you can find one. Rebuilding yours may be a choice if you can find a place to do that. Keep us poste on this please.
