Amazing 83 FC31 Turbo Asheville NC

We have the title in hand and ready. Also the appraisal from McGinnis appraisal in hand done in Oct of 2014 for $23,500.00. We are only selling because we need cash quick to close on a home. This bus is mechanically great and so, so beautiful. Call me with any questions or to make an offer. A quick cash buyer will get the best deal. The mileage shows about 109,000 but the odometer/speedometer is intermittent and was estimated at appraisal time to be 169,000 based on engine hours.
See lots of pics and a full description on the craigslist ad: https://asheville.craigslist.org/rvs/5684926183.html

Looks really nice and priced accordingly too Jon:) Where is the coach currently?

JonDee 07-22-2016 12:22 PM

We are in Asheville NC. The bus is here too:)

The title on this thread and on the CL ad say 31' but the pictures look like a 33' as is stated in your signature so I am guessing the thread title and CL AD are a typo??

Don't overlook the Asheville connection to wanderlodge gurus. They are NOT focused on older models at all but you might find a buyer or get some leads if you check in with the sysop there (David Brady).

Nice looking bus. Good luck with sale.

Randy Dupree 07-23-2016 08:01 AM

It always helps to post a price.

Probably not, the focus is on Prevost over there.

lexton2186 07-23-2016 10:44 PM

Does anyone on the forum know this bus? I have a very good friend in the Asheville area who after seeing my bus, has the Wanderlodge fever. I would like to get him the most information possible before he goes to look at it.

Randy Dupree 07-23-2016 10:59 PM

I don't know it.
Call John McGinnis?

Marc_in_CT 07-24-2016 11:30 AM

I'm pretty sure it's Henry Pozzuoli's FC33 from West Haven CT that was sold in fall 2014.

Here's Henry's thread from when he put it up for sale...
http://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.co...ad.php?t=20681

As I understand, it was garage kept. I did not get to look at it, despite it being 10 minutes from me, as it had been sold by the time I called Henry about it.

Looks like a 31' in this video:

I remember another video on Youtube where the bus stalled on the road and it turned out to need fuel filters.

Nope, 31' has only the propane bay between the front wheel and door, no room for a storage bay, and the awning on a 31' goes from front of salon window to middle of bedroom window, this one ends short of bed room window, definitely a 33'.

JonDee 07-25-2016 12:17 PM

Ok, so here is the confusion on the length. I purchased it that making it was for sure a 33" but after parking next to friends that have a 32' Rv and meeting another bird owner that had a fc31 identical to ours he guaranteed me it was a 31". That is why I said it was a 31". I'm still not sure to be honest. I could pull out the title but I don't think it says. Talked to John McGinnis and he recommended just measuring but I have not had time to do so. Dave sounds like he knows so I would be quite certain it is a 33" but the other gentleman was certain it was 31". This is quite confusing. Regardless of the 2 feet we love our bus and it is something special. We wish we could keep it but we have made commitments on a home and need to cash out some equity. I've had several very interested parties in the last 2 days and several coming to look at her this week. Anyone can feel free to give me a call if you have any questions eight28 seven47- 0911

Thanks,

Here are some pics of my FC 31" (Actually measures 30'10" bumper to bumper) for comparison.

You are exactly right. I'm sure now that 33" is correct. Thanks for that:)

Update and Price Drop to $25,500

Ok, my crazy busy summer business has come to an end and I've had time to give a little attention to my bird for sale.

I replaced the AC that was out with a New Brisk Air 2
I Replaced all 5 batteries. 12v generator and 6v coach batteries
Replaced the starter
Replaced the fresh water pump with sureflo
I also lowered the price to 25,500 and have a bonus for the WOG
*BONUS* if anybody from the WOG buys this bus for the asking price before oct 1 I will throw in the blue ox tow bar and the brake buddy system (brake buddy may need a new controller as it got wet and I have not tested it). These two pieces are some expensive parts if you have to buy them.

John tell me about the brisk air 2 noise with your inside vents and 2 knobs

My wife and I are interested in this Wanderlodge.
Are there any members familiar with this coach?
Any ideas what could be involved in getting the fuel gauge, speedometer and tachometer working again?
One of the tires has been plugged after running over a drill bit. Is this tire still safe to use or should it be replaced?

Any honest advice is most welcome.

thomas_sorrentino 09-23-2016 08:08 AM

I've never seen this coach. But if it was Henrys coach from thread #11. I do remember him posting a lot on the old forums and it seemed like he kept up on maintenance.

sailor7cs 09-23-2016 08:56 AM

While at a rally at Croton Point Park, in 2014, Jon and Adri pulled into the park and stayed a couple of days, they had just purchased the BB in CT, he told us...
We were trying to help him and her out with the systems...
Coach was nice then...
We ran into them again at WOG, they were full timing in it with their two children, coach looked good then, last year...

If it were me, I would get that tire changed before going anywhere...:(:(:(

Thanks for sharing the links to your videos. They're put together well.

Your bus looks good as too, good luck with the sale.
