It's been a Whirlwind
So, everybody knows about my '93 WB. The engine got me home from WOG. I was pissed to say the least about my "overhaul". I got overhauled alright:rolleyes:. So it was a decision do I move on with this bus or move on with another. Yep we went with another.

I ended up buying Dana Trempe's 2000 LX that is or was on Rany's site. It made Michele totally "swoon" is that is the right word. She has never been this excited about anything in the years I have known her.

So George Hall and I left yesterday morning to go to Iron Mountain, MI. Did anybody ever tell you, that is get cold up there?!! Not to mention snow up the wazoo. So we got there yesterday about 5 pm and Dana gave us the grand tour. Wow is all I can say. It is a great bus in every way. So we left and went out and had a great meal and conversation at a local sports bar and after that George and I went to a local flee bag hotel. I made the reservations because it was the closest to the bus's location, but we survived.

So this morning we met Dana at 6:30 a.m. and he had the bus out warmed up and aired up ready to go. We hooked up my truck and were ready to go. You could tell the sorro in Dana eyes and voice as we said our goodbyes. It was hard for him to let it go, but knew it was going to a good home. George and I had a good trip home and then I got to show Michele. She was like a kid at Christmas. The bus was dirty from the weather we ran through before we got to Green Bay. Plenty of sleet and freezing rain made its shiny skin a little dull. Regardless, Michele was thrilled and lit up like a Christmas tree. She said it is even better than the pictures.:):)

Then we went inside the house and talked about all that she saw and how much she loved it. The phone rang and it was Allen Eversman. He told me he wanted my '93 when Randy posted about it. He was first on the list and because of his work schedule and my crazy schedule of taking care of a couple of ladies, we never seemed to be able to get together on a time to get the bus. So he was going to come at 8 p.m. but got delayed and wouldn't be here until about 9:30 p.m. He and his son Arthur, who is a chip off the old block as far as work ethic and mechanical skills, got the bus out of my garage and headed east to Wapakoneta, OH at about 10:30 p.m. What a day this old man has had. I'm tired and going to bed. I will most likely be dreaming about the first trip we can take in our new bus. :):):):):):)

Congrats, Jim and Michele! What a great day. I was afraid we were going to lose our resident story-teller.

Great news and a happy conclusion to an unhappy story. See you two in Shipshewana and be prepared as your many friends will want a tour. Congratulations.
Any chance you will be in Vidalia?
