Electric heaters & A/C controls

OK, 1987 FCSB. Home today and decided to check out the electric heaters. There are 2 bat handled switches above driver that turn on power to the ft and rear A/C units. If I turn that ft A/C off at the A/C unit I get power to the ft electric htr with the toggle switch on and the htr will turn on with the control at the heater itself. Is this correct operation for the htr ?
Is the rear htr supposed to operate in the same way in conjunction with the rear A/C ?
I haven't been able to get the rear htr to turn on. Haven't pulled it apart to test for power yet. Just wanted to make sure it isn't another case of operator error.
( already been there with a few other things. LOL !! Long learning curve here. )

On our 83 FE 35, the front, kitchen, and bedroom electric heaters are all switched at the three drive side overhead AC relay controls.

Mine works just like that, the switch controls power to both a/c and electric heaters.

Thanks for the replies.
Our FC only has 2 A/C units and they do share power with the front and rear heaters. Front heater worked ok. Rear heater has a sticky switch and worked after cycling several times.
The kitchen heater has its own separate power circuit and didn't work at all.
Figured I had nothing to lose so took it apart to diagnose. Had power in and no power out of switch. Switch is a Eaton Mears 275-1477-00 which is obsolete. ( waiting for an answer as to a suitable replacement ) decided to take heater apart and clean while waiting and when I removed the switch I found that it is adjustable. A qtr turn with a 3/32" Allen wrench and back in business.
Don't know about the Markel front heater but that is what the fasco heaters use.
They are really pretty simple once they are apart.
