It was terrible, but I was able to pause at several shots of the rear, and that door would work. The only significant difference is the latch release which requires a key to open.

I could only find a picture of a '90SP rear end. It looks similar in size, but a lot of differences in design and the hinge is different. Still, it might be an option if repair is too expensive.
