I purchased a very similar steering wheel for one of my trucks from Freighliner; it was only about $130. It is very glossy so if you have sweaty palms it gets a little slick.

My fan motor had a fine coating of oil and related crud too; I just pressure washed it and left everything in place. The hydraulic system has not used any oil since.
