Good, glad you had the sense to investigate certainly saved some trouble down the road! It should cycle quite frequently now as the thermostats work... mine was constantly bouncing between 170-180

Absolutely killer work!!!! 195 is way too hot for the fan being on full unless you were on a grade with the pedal on the wood. Cruising 80 i'd kick my fan on high and it'd drop the temp from 190ish...

Use a shop vac on the fill or at another hole...

Use a shop vac on the fill or at another hole above fuel level to put the tank under vacuum then hardly any fuel will come out ;)

I realize I'm a little late to the party but if you get serious about this let me know. You can bump the rpm a few hundred just by removing the high speed spring pack cover on the governor, loosening...
