Put all the parts and well written instructions in a package and sell it. The mechanically inclined can install themselves and others can hire the local mechanic. Lots of happy people! :):)...

I installed separate temp gauges in an 8V71 ('74 Diamond Reo) for the same reason. Caught a failing T-stat and was able to replace it in the shop instead of on the road.
