I used a 1-1/16 deep socket, swivel, and an impact. No problems. Also, soaked all the nuts with penetrating oil for a day before starting.

Our PT/WB's do also. At least the ones with computers. I have had an engine shut down twice, not due to low coolant(as I and the computer thought), but due to sensor malfunction.

GM did make a 302 inline 6cyl. That would work as an easy swap, IF the engine is bad. Plus, duals with Smitty mufflers sounds sooo cool.

Chip, Shahin does not have the summer/winter switch. I looked. I also think his switch that controls the front chassis heat is not operating, either from lack of use or like mine was, rusted in place.
