Default CW Collapsible Ladders and Joey Beds

I have two pet peeves in the forward bay.

Pet Peeve #1:The Camping World 7' ladder that I find really useful, collapses into a 4"X 4" X 7' space. It is stored on the Joey
bed but interferes with other storage. Aggravating.

Pet Peeve #2: The Joey bed loses too much space along the side rails, shrinking the available area. Well, we're heavy anyway.

Two negatives made a positive here. Mounted the ladder on the Joey bed rail. See pix.

Had the local roofer bend up some aluminum gutter material 4" wide X 3" tall X 86" long. Pop riveted a 1" X 1" aluminum angle along the forward edge of the rail. Liquid Nailed 3/4" plywood along the bed side of the rail to act as a bumper for heavy stuff to protect the sheet aluminum. Mounted the aluminum holder with two full length strips of 3M super double stick tape.

Now the ladder slips out easily and does not interfere with everything else on the Joey bed. No more aggravation!
