There are 4 nylon pipes with a "T" handle up behind the cover assembly. Unscrew them and the cover will come off. You can then reach in through the hole for the headlight to clean inside, between the outer Lexan and the inner molded plastic piece. IMO, while they are off, remove the outer Lexan and throw it away.
