Many, many years ago I drove a 2 cycle Detroit powered Kenworth with a 16 speed transmission delivering asphalt and the company owner told me the best way to drive it was taken in steps;

1. Approach truck on drivers side.

2, Open drivers door.

3 Insert thumb of right hand in door jamb.

4.Slam door closed on thumb as hard as possible.

5. Open driver door as quickly as possible.

6. Step up into cab of truck and sit in drivers seat.

7. You should be angry enough at the tuck now to properly drive it for the remainder of the day.

8.Tommorrow repeat procedure all over again.
