With engine off, check battery voltage at the battery.
With engine running check the voltage at the battery.
If the voltage did not change you have a charging issue.

Lets say the engine off voltage was 12.5 volts, and the engine running voltage was
13.8 volts,your charging.

Another redneck way to check to see if the alternator is charging is with the engine running, see if a screwdriver or wrench will stick (magnetically) to the back of the alternator.
The alternator creates a magnetic field when charging.
Be carefull not to stick your fingers in the fan or stick the wrench onto a power cable!!.
Rick did help me change the one on the blue SP,i reached in from the side louvered door and held a wrench on the nuts while he unscrewed the bolts.
One other thing, for some reason BB used 2 bolts and nuts on the mount,i replece the 2 bolts with one long bolt and it makes the job so much easier.
No need to remove the primus to do the job.

screwdriver or any piece of metal on the back alt bearing is where to check this
