Dennis- if you have the Blue Sea relay, you do not need an isolator between the house and genny battery. That would be redundant. Isolators are notorious for voltage drop. If you have house and engine batteries, that is another story. Is your main bank split? If so, I would think it's OK to keep them separated, since the engine batteries get charged (and used) only when you are driving.

A 160A Leece-Neville J-180 mount sells for around $300 new. That's what we put in Jim Nichols' '93 Wide Body earlier this year and it worked fine.
