After the last post about the belt tension gauge, I tried three chains of auto parts stores and heard the same answer. They haven't carried them since the advent of the self tensioning belts. That laeds to the question, how can we tell what tension the belt should be, and what is the correct number?

Along the same lines, does anyone know a relatively painless way to check the belt on the Power-Tech generator? It is all covered up. I'll bet someone has figured out how to do it in less than a day.
