Default Shopping for a new daily driver and toad

It’s time for a new vehicle which will also serve as our towed. I’ve narrowed my search to a late model Jeep Wrangler probably 2018-2023, 3.6 V6 and 8 speed automatic transmission.
Can anyone verify the simplicity of 4-down towing such a rig and have you experienced any problems with these years Jeeps.
Thanks in advance.

One of the most popular toads out there. There is a process to ensure everything is unlocked and the transfer case in neutral, but it's a simple process. The only downside for me, and I'm towing the larger gladiator, is that it weighs 5800 lbs. My F150 was lighter.

We have a 2018 Wrangler JK. We have only towed it once and it was easy and pulled like a champ. Easy transfer case in N and trans in P. We did have a ABS light come on after we got home on the Jeep. Might have just been a fluke but the toe on the jeep got knocked out and it has a clock spring sensor in the steering column. That sensor tells the ABS module if the steering wheel is off center by some number of degrees and sets a code. Took in to the alignment shop and they checked everything on the suspension out and did an alignment. They had the infor from the first alignment and it showed the toe was correct then. Not sure how it changed. If it was not for the fact it's the best for what we want to do, towing and exploring out west. I would not own one.

They make great toads. Be aware of the jeep death wobble and how to avoid it especially if you get one that has been modified and/or has high miles and/or has been wheeled a lot.

Thanks for the replies. I’m going with the 4dr Wrangler, are they also prone to the death wobble? I have a 79 CJ5 and that thing used to scare me but it’s lifted and the wheel base is about 3 ft.
Current towed is a Jeep Liberty 4x4 and it’s been great, unlock steering and transfer to neutral. I’m ready for something newer and highway friendly and will probably install a mild lift and larger tires. No off-roading although I’d like to get my CJ back on the road and join some trail rides occasionally.

Truth is, anything with a solid front axle and coil springs can get death wobble. Jeeps are just so much popular you hear about it more.

We've got a 20214 door.
Look up corrosion for these, ours has some on the door hinges, but it happens on doors, hood, and tailgate. There is a 5 year corrosion warranty, as long as it wasn't sold in Canada. We're on a 6 month waiting list to get ours repaired.

I wasn't sure about the 2.0 turbo, but I'm impressed. Plenty of torque to pull low rpms, and it's quick when you for it.
