Default Do you know the history of your Wanderlodge?

As I prepare to head to Arkansas in a few weeks I've started wondering about the history of the coach I am buying. Who bought it new, what dreams of travel did they have and did they actually do as much as they thought they would? What adventures did they have and why did they eventually sell? How many owners have there been and what did each of the subsequent owners do to maintain and/or improve the coach throughout their ownership? Where did they dream of going and did they get there? I wonder about some of the "life changing memories" that have occurred with my new coach? How did it affect the people who owned it and their kids, friends and various people they met on their travels?

I wonder where the pictures are of this coach and the many places it has been... 192,000 miles is a lot of stories!

So, as I ponder my coach and the "history" it has and how I hope to delve into as the days pass I wonder how many of the other owners on this forum know the history of their bird? It would be great if everyone would share some history and hopefully a photo or two that might relate to the story...

Ed and I recently brought home our 1995 BMC, Song Bird. I am researching the history. The first owner was Clyde Snell of Wrightsville GA. I would love to learn about Mr. Snell and this Bird. I wonder why he called it Song Bird? I would appreciate any info! Leah

We met Clyde at WOG this year. He was parked right across from us. He's an incredibly nice older gentleman with a rich background in farming. He has an awful lot of Wanderlodge experience and has owned many coaches. I think he'll be at the FMCA rally in Perry coming up soon.

Here's a pic of his current bluebird that I believe he's owned for about 15 years, and it only has about 50K miles on it. Keeps it in one of his barns with full hook ups.

Thanks so much Clint! Was he at the October Rally at Pine Mountain, Georgia? Is Perry in Georgia? Ed and I are still working so probably can't get there. However, it would be so cool to connect with Clyde and maybe he would get a kick out of seeing his Song Bird! I wonder why he chose such a great name, Song Bird. Leah

There is a Darrell Snell with this same coach, color, etc. Is Darrell sometimes called Clyde? Wife name is Jennifer...goes by Ms. Bee or BeeBee.
