I used a cooltech harness on the JT and they do activate brake lights but not the third brake light.

When checking my taillights I always checked the third brake light with the M&G and then I knew it was working.

On a side note I just purchased a 2016 Jeep Cherokee that had a Roadmaster/Demco system previously professionally installed and I've never been so confused.

I was planning on using the curt harness on my JL. It worked well with my TJ, but didn't have the advanced electronics that my JL has. But I see a couple votes for the Cooltech. I'm also considering a separate lightbar.

It's still a good idea to check your taillights before every departure to make sure all is working as expected.

I don't think Cool Tech knows the M&G turns on the brake lights.

The M&G turns on the brake lights by literally depressing the brake pedal, just as any decent braking system, and I imagine the Cool Tech harness can switch between the two in milli-seconds. Still a non-issue.

Did some testing today. When I have air on the M&G my brake lights do not come on. Pedal stays up. So that is good. However I do want my third brake light and the light behind the spare tire to work. I’m thinking to run a wire from the brake light and put in a switch to have those lights either work with the jeep or coach. The tail lights are small in a jeep and I want to be seen while on the binders.
