Great news... it took me about 3 times to get that filter change down right. Hey, at least you learned about all of the other stuff on the genny too! Congrats.

In a few months someone will be asking:"I can't get my Perkins to start, and have tried everything" and you will be telling him all the pearls of Perkins troubleshooting. Everyone here has at one time or another been ready to throw in the towel. That is the moment you start to learn.
