Looks like the beginnings of a neat project. Connectors described and shown in his schematic are different (obviously) than this. I'm not that familiar with different varieties of Webasto heaters between those popular in vans in very cold places in Europe and the larger units found as replacements in our coaches. Guess there's no time like the present to learn!

Chip - do you have a link to the thermostat you're talking about?

No, I'm looking for ideas. I jumped on an earlier thread bandwagon thinking someone had made some progress along the lines of what Mallie suggested.

I installed a DBW 2010 in Rosie. Used a very simple wall thermo spliced into the high temp cut out. Worked great. Dont know why you couldn't do the same thing with a WI FI capable thermostat.

I don’t have much to say either but I do believe Eagle 5 is Andy’s ultimate goal!

overlooked often is fail path. prompts in the "if" proof area of a 'if then' should fail to the safest 'then' path. problem is safe action is a fan to cool which is active.

One thing that I look forward to is these aftermarket options make oem and rebuilt oem more affordable. I appreciate the engineering folks who try this stuff but I seem to sell my rigs after 8 years or s and hope to keep appliances close to oem and less unique.
