Morey
That is where we plugged the Samsung in. On mine the icemaker and the Dometic (on 120v) were plugged into that plug. It is inverter/shore/generator powered. Mine has a separate CB in the panel for the fridge that controls that plug.

Yes Morey that's exactly where I plugged the Samsung in.

Have been using the bus for a trip from BC to Ontario and return. I am in Montana on the return leg, so far 4800 miles and 24 days. I am very happy with the fridge. I have stayed in rest areas and truck stops as well as rv parks and the driveways of friends. Have run the fridge on batteries for 12 hours overnight, and judging by the recharge time it has not been hard on the batteries, could likely be on batteries for much longer, but I think in my application 12 hours will likely be about as long as I go without either driving or running the generator.
Overall I am very happy.

I just got back from a sailing trip. The week before I left I bought a head of leaf lettuce. Tonight Sue made a salad out of that head of lettuce. If it had been in the old Norcold she would have only had to heat it up as soup. This fridge continues to amaze me.

Thanks for finding that one. We followed your lead and did the same. It only takes 1.4 amps when running. Fantastic.

Ron all praise goes to Peter Haggins. He spent a couple of years researching these Samsungs. It's great to hear about the 1.4 amps. There is nothing like actual real time experience.

1.4 A is good. Ron all thanks go to Peter Haggins who researched fridges for three years before settling on this model.

Except for some trim pieces the fridge is done. Tomorrow we start laying new flooring. Aleve time so nighty night.
Well the time has come to replace the Norcold and I'm leaning toward going Electric . I did find some burnt wood in the upper area and feel fortunate that is all there was . So my question is has the RF197 been replaced by a newer unit ?

Here you go Al. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Samsung-...FROwTwodh04IWw By the way, if you aren't in a terrible hurry, they are usually on sale now and then at a couple of hundred cheaper.
