Randy- and others- Chuy's (pronounced Chewie's) is one of those off-the-beaten-path campy little roadside dives that will probably no longer be around in a few years. Chuy was this old Texican dude that used to give free food to the old country singers passing through- see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA2c1gTr1qU

Best thing that I've had are the Chile Rellenos

I'm planning to be there Saturday, January 16th for Lunch! Anyone coming across I-10 or I-20- this place is where the two interstates meet up.

Eddie,
If you are starting from FL I-10 is for sure the shortest most direct and least likely to get snow/ice. Of course, there is a chance of snow between El Paso and Tucson but not very likely.

Maybe 2011 after retirement. I just can't imagine taking a 5000+ mile round trip and not spending at least 6 or 8 weeks taking in the wealth of places to visit during the trip.

i could almost read the menu, john!
I had a wheel bearing on a Bronco go out in that area one time,i jacked it up and took the axle out and left Carol with the Bronco and went downtown and got a bearing pressed onto the axle,if I had known about Chuys,I may have been an hour longer getting back!
