Default Thanks to Shane

This is a big THANK YOU to Shane for posting pics on how to put a fan on the passenger side door to bring out engine heat.
Shane put a two way switch on his so he can blow cool air across the engine and thru the radiator.
I just put on a one way switch to suck out the heat from the engine.
I followed his directions and put a thermostat on it that kicks on at 160 degrees and cuts off at 110 degrees.
I put it on in Quartzsite and it has worked GREAT in the mountains out west here.
I used to stop for the night and open up the compartment door to let the hot air out....no more.
Great mod that I recommend to all PTer's.
Thanks again, Shane!!

For those of you that may be interested in this modification, there have been numerous versions of the fix found under;

DETROIT DIESEL ENGINE COMPARTMENT EXHAUST FAN.pdf
DETROIT DIESEL engine compartment exhaust fan, helps in removing hot air that accumulates in the rear engine compartments of 'Birds, that tends to heat soak up into the rear bedroom area, after the engine is shut down, this can be used in any rear engined 'Bird.
