Default LX40 ISM Extra treaded hole in Flywheel?

Hi fellow BB owners,

I tried to do my first grease/lube work after I changed engine oil and found a threaded hole in a unit immediately after engine oil pan (towards front of bus). There are actually two threads there, one has a plug and one doesn't and it is bone dry in there.

Is that the flywheel housing? has the plug fallen off? should it be dry in there? do I need to have a professional look at it? I don't get any abnormal noise, but the BB last year and have driven it w/o any issues!

And BTW, does anyone has a greasing diagram for LX40? I found some for older ones but not sure if anyone has a more recent one. I am attaching a couple of pictures of the housing and latest grease diagram I found.

Could the threaded hole in the housing be for a proximity sensor for picking up an extra signal for RPMs of the Cummins engine?

That well could be, rpm drops to zero as soon as I start moving.
I am thinking of plugging it for now, am heading to yellowstone next week.

Do not forget to grease the PTO splines on the engine. Passenger side near the front.

Is the PTO on the engine? could you take a picture of it?
